Ayurveda is the Sister Science of Yoga. Originated about 6,000 years ago in India. Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word. Sanskrit is the oldest language to man found in scriptures.

Ayurveda means Knowledge of Life and Longevity. Aka as Wisdom of Life, or Science of Life.

It's considered the Mother of all Healing Systems where the whole of a person is looked at and has an understanding of the interconnection and importance of the health of ones mind, body and spirit.

Ayurveda looks at the whole person to address the root cause of illness, disease and conditions on the body.

By implementing the knowledge, symptoms disappear and one's health creates balance.

VATA

During Late Autumn to Early Winter, increasing these ingredients will help your ​mind-body balance. 

The elements for this season is made up of Air & Ether (Space). Which is also known as Vata (bio-energy centre) season. 

To pacify nervousness, bring in tastes that are;

Sweet - Earth & Water
Sour - Earth & Fire
Salty - Fire & Water

The elements for this season is made up of Fire & Water. Which also known as Pitta (bio-energy centre) season. 

To pacify the firey moods, bring in tastes that are;

Bitter - Air & Ether (Space) 
Astringent - Air & Earth
